Search visibility for boiler and hydronic companies

We help boiler companies appear in map and organic results when people search for boiler replacement, combi boilers, radiant heat or a boiler that won't fire, in the areas you actually serve.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

Search visibility means being found in Google's map and organic results when someone nearby searches for boiler work. For a boiler company it is usually the cheapest source of calls over time, because you don't pay for each visit. It takes patience to build and it's hard for competitors to copy quickly.

Who this is for

The short answer: boiler companies that plan to own their local market for years.

It fits best if you:

  • replace and service residential boilers, combi boilers or radiant systems
  • look after commercial plant rooms and want property managers to find you
  • serve a defined area and can describe it honestly
  • have reviews, photos and real job knowledge to draw on

It fits less well if you need calls next week. For that, paid search is faster, and the two work well together.

What's included

The work is practical and specific to boilers.

Google Business Profile

  • correct categories for a boiler and heating business, service areas that match where you work, and hours that match when you answer
  • service lists that name boiler work clearly: replacement, combi installation, maintenance, no-heat calls
  • photos of real jobs, and a steady review request process using your own customer contacts

Service and area pages

  • one strong page per boiler service, written from your crews' knowledge
  • area pages only for places you genuinely serve, each with something specific to say

Buyer-question content

Boiler buyers search with questions. Examples we write for:

  • whether a combi boiler suits a house with two bathrooms
  • what replacing a cast-iron boiler in a 1950s house involves
  • why a technician took a CO reading, in provinces where gas codes require checks
  • which rebates apply this season, written "as of" a date and linked to the program

Timeline

Period What typically happens
Weeks 1–2 Audit, profile fixes, tracking set up
Months 1–3 Service pages rebuilt, first articles published, reviews flowing
Months 3–6 Rankings for core boiler terms start to move
Months 6–12 Content compounds; seasonal pages are ready before each heating season

These are typical ranges, not promises. A crowded city takes longer than a small town.

How results are measured

We report on what affects revenue, not vanity numbers:

  • calls and texts from your Google Business Profile
  • organic visits to boiler service pages, and calls from those pages
  • rankings for a fixed list of boiler terms in your area, tracked monthly
  • booked jobs where your call tracking or office records show the source

For reference, our work on CombiBoiler.ca produced 500+ page-1 rankings for combi-boiler keywords and 300+ monthly leads. That's a result from our boiler and HVAC work, not a forecast for yours.

Mistakes to avoid

  1. Calling every heating system a furnace. Boiler buyers notice. Use the words they use: hydronic, radiators, in-floor, combi.
  2. Copying a city page fifty times. Doorway-style area pages risk penalties and help nobody.
  3. Letting rebate pages go stale. When a program closes, as SaskEnergy's commercial boiler rebate did in August 2026, update the page immediately.
  4. Ignoring the profile. For local boiler searches, the map results often get more attention than the website.

What a strong boiler service page contains

Most boiler buyers land on a service page, not the home page, so each one has to stand on its own. A good one covers:

  • what the service is, in the customer's words
  • who it suits, such as older homes with radiators or newer homes with in-floor heat
  • what happens during a visit, step by step
  • the areas you actually serve
  • proof, with named results or real job photos
  • your phone number near the top and again at the end

Frequently asked questions

How long does boiler SEO take?

Google Business Profile fixes can show in weeks. New service pages and articles usually take three to six months to rank well, longer in competitive cities. We report progress monthly so you can judge it.

Do I need a page for every town?

Only for towns you genuinely serve and can say something specific about. Thin copies of the same page with a different town name tend to hurt rather than help.

Will you write about regulations on my site?

Yes, as summaries with links to the regulator, never as compliance advice. That kind of page is covered in more depth by our regulation content service.

Can you promise first-page rankings?

No. Nobody controls Google's results. We can show the work we do, the rankings we track and the calls they produce.
